My "Gifs" are saved into "Folders" which are in "My Computer", which is my "C Drive"

To Move An Item or To Work On One

"Left" click on the "Image" on your workbench

This will make square "Lines" around the image so you can stretch it out, make it smaller, wider or thinner

If you "Left" click right in the middle of the "Image", a "suction cup" will show up

You can move the "Image" to any position you want it

To "Turn" the image, "Left" click on the little circle that sticks out and move the circle "Left" or "Right"

Start Useing Picture It

With your program open

The first thing you will see is the opening screen

I would suggest that you watch the "Helpful Movies"

Okay now...Lets begin

The "Names" of the screens you will be working on will be at the "Top" left hand corner of the window that you have open

On the "Helpful Movies" screen "Left" click on the word "Close"

On the "Getting Started" screen, "Left" click on the word "Close" again

Now we are on the "Workbench" screen

"Left" click on the words "Get Pictures"

"Left" click on the words "Open Pictures"

On the left hand side of the screen is the "Folders" which are on your computer

On the right hand side is the "Pictures" of what is in each folder when you are looking at them

We are going to open up your "Folder" with your pictures in it

On the left side you will see an "arrow" & the words..If you don't see the pictures you want, look in:

there is a small white box which lists your computers folders..

"Left" click on the little mark at the right end and a dropdown will show up

Find your folder with your gifs in them and "Left" click on it

All your "Gifs" will show up on the right side of your screen

"Left" click and keep your finger held down on a picture that you want to work with

and

"Pull" the picture down to the "Grey" oblong box that is at the bottom of your screen

Get more pictures if you want them

When you are finished "Left" click on the word "Done"

Now we are back at the workbench

To Resize Your Picture

With your picture showing in the workspace

"Left" click on the words "Size & Position

"Left" click on the box that says "Change Picture Size"

1...Keep the "Portrait" checked

2..."Click a proportion"---leave that alone

"Units"--click on the tiny arrow at the end & make it to "pxl", we will always work with pxls

Uncheck "Maintain Proportions"

At this point, the size that is in there right now is the original size of the picture you are looking at

To change the "Height" & "Width", put your cursor in the white boxes & left click so there is a blinking line, then just delete the numbers in there & put your own

To Make A Welcome Banner For Your Homepage

Start by "Saving this "Blank Gif" to one of your "favorite folders"

It may look like nothing is on your screen when you click on this word but if you "Right" click in the upper left hand corner, you will see that it says "Save picture as"...so you can save it

"Open" your "Blank Gif" in Picture It

"Resize" your blank gif to..."375 width" & "110 height"

"Left" click on the word "Done"

"Left" click on the words "Text"

Then "Left" click on the words "Add Text"

1....Delete the words that are in the big white square box, and put your words in this box

We will put the word "Welcome" in here for this demostration

2...."Click text options"..."Left" click on the little arrow at the end of the white box and pick out your font style.

A little hint at this point...once you highlight a font style if you hold your mouse right on the highlighted words, you can scroll your wheel on the top of your mouse, and you will be able to see the fonts change before your eyes

3...."Click a text color"...go right to the "color wheel" & "Left" click on it

Then move your mouse around while still holding the "Left" click down

Then "Left" click on the word "Done"

On your workbench, "Stretch" out your "Welcome"

By "Left" click & holding the "screws" at the side of your word

Bring the size to fit the width of the "White" space.

Save Your work

Height="150" Width="425"

If you would like to add a "Picture" to your Welcome

Just make the "Height" of the "Blank Gif" taller

Then just "Drag" a picture onto the words

Then position it where you want it
