In the maple tree lives this bird. He has such a fine family, but the babies grow so fast that soon you can't tell them apart from the parents.

At the end of September to the middle of October is the best time to plant Spring flowering bulbs like daffodils.

All the leaves are falling with this cool weather and most of them are raked up. Boy what a big pile!! They make very good compost for the garden. Bluebird and I use them in our gardens all the time.
